unreliable - left in the lurch

The place per se may not be bad, and our dog was there a couple of times and was ok, coming back home a bit dirty if anything. But the last experience we had was completely bad and I need to bring it to everyone's attention. We booked over Easter, but ended up not travelling, so we decided to keep our dog at home for part of the booked period. We made it abundantly clear that of course we would pay for the whole originally booked stay, including the days our dog would be at home. This was accepted - in the end, they were getting money and did not have to look after our dog. Then, this morning, we called to see if we could bring in our dog: we had booked, so we just wanted to drop her off for part of the booking. Surprisingly, the staff became rude and emotional, claimed we had "messed them about" (I object: we had given them money in return for no service), and they would cancel our bookings: all of them, even the ones made in the future, which e.g. we had made, well in advance
