About Us
Ofsted Registered Childminder in Kempston, Bedford offers various childcare places. I offer a welcoming, safe, clean and welcoming home from home environment where having fun while learning is my motto.
I have a huge portfolio of numerous excellent parental references and 45+ online reviews spanning 29 years. Also 70+ Certificates of further training undertaken within my field available for inspection. For this duration I have also been a fully insured PACEY Member with enhanced DBS clearance. I am also ICO Registered.
There are no hidden costs-administration costs, registration fees or the like. All activities, days/trips out include admission costs within your fees. All toys, resources and equipment are of the highest standards, supplied by myself and regularly inspected and safety checked. All childcare can be flexible and tailored to your child's exact needs.

Excellent
Loretta for a month but he is doing really well we had never been apart before so was worried about leaving him but he settled in quite quickly and Loretta was very understanding about his difficulties with going to new places and his certain fears, she took it slow with him and he has come on leaps and bounds since being there, im a very glad i sent my son to Loretta and i would defiantly recommend her.

Hiya there. Lorett Young is one of the wonderful Childminder I EVER know,,she looked after our daughter for more then a three years and WHAT a progress in anyway,VERY HAPPY:). She is a such beautiful person from inside and outside. Thank You Lorett,we love You.

Excellent
Loretta looked after all 3 of my children my youngest was about 6 months old when he started going, all 3 of them loved being there, the two older childern loved going out and about after school with Loretta & the other children.
Loretta was very accomidating to work around my shifts evan at short notice.
I would have no hesitation in sending my children back to Loretta as i know they would be very happy with her.

Used to childmind me
I am delighted to discover that Loretta is still childminding. She used to proved childcare for my brother and myself around 16/17 years ago and I have very fond memorys of my time there. Now i am looking for childcare for my own children, so I will be in touch :-D

Excellent
My child went to Loretta from a young age until she had to go to school.
I always found her to be professional, extremely reliable and always accommodated my change of shifts at last minute. I was never worried to leave my daughter there as I always felt she was being well cared for in every aspect of her needs and was made to feel like part of her family. Loretta would always keep me up dated in her progress and I felt when it came to potty training and all those first milestones we worked as part of a team at keeping the continuity for my daughter. My daughter would cry when she was having to come home which is a testament to Loretta
I would highly recommend her as a childminder and would not hesitate to use her services.

Memory
about her time there and if she could , she would be back at Loretta's in a heart beat. Not only does Loretta do her job at an amazing standard but she makes you feel like apart of her extended family, which is a very wonderful thing. We are trusting her with someone special to care for and basically raise while we are at work.
I have nothing but praise for Loretta.
And when i can i will be sending my daughter back plus any other children i have in the future.

Numerous excellent parental references
My 8 yr son has been going to Loretta for 4months now and iv found her to be very welcoming and friendly .
My son takes a long time to settle with new people and Loretta has been great at helping him feel at home
my son goes 5 days a week and if needed Loretta offers over night care so i can get a night off now and then and i know that my son would be totally happy and safe 100per cent of the time .
Loretta has the experience of 19yrs of child minding which i was very impressed by and i would recommended her any one that needs childcare in the local area with out hesitation
i choose Loretta because numerous excellent parental references , too many certificates in childcare to list ,
and has brought up 3 well mannered happy children of her own .

Excellent childcare services
Lorretta is an excellent childminder. As I worked different shifts when she looked after my children she was willing to be flexible to accomodate my childcare needs. She always engaged my children in different activites. The children were happy with her and in fact looked forward to going to see her. She is a very caring childminder and I would have no hesitation in recommending her.

Thank you to the experienced child minder
Loretta provides a wide, fun range of activities including plenty of outdoor exercise. I know my daughter has enjoyed sand, writing and drawing, as well as playing with her beautiful cats .
I have a complete picture of her whole day including what she has eaten, and all her activities. This helps me to feel involved with her care and that I can talk to her about her day.
I am thoroughly happy with the level of care my daughter receives and I'm certain that being in such a positive and happy environment is helping her develop into a confident and self assured little girl. Thanks so much Loretta.
Loretta is a wonderful childminder
Loretta is a wonderful childminder. Very passionate about her work, with years of experience and my daughter absolutely love her. She puts a lot of effort to entertain children and make them feel happy and safe. My daughter Laura was staying with Lorreta for the school holidays and she absolutely loved it. I am so pleased that this is not a stay at home childminder. They always do something and never get bored. She takes children to the park, playground or even to the Play House with no extra cost. She also have a big garden with swing and a slide and many toys to keep children entertain at all times. So far this is the best childminder that my daughter ever went to and for me this is very important as I want her to feel happy and I know she is in good hands. We definitely come back in October half term.

Perfect fun chilminder
Our little one is with Loretta since mid April 5 days / week and loves it! She has so many activities for him and the rest of the children that he never wants to leave in the evening! There are activities in doors when it is raining but most of the time she is bringing him to groups, parks (water park in the summer) museums etc. My sister in law's childminder doesn't even do 1/3 of what Loretta proposes! A good mix of Nanny Mcphee and Mary Poppins! Very happy and very glad we found her!

Prior to meeting Loretta, my daughter was afraid of cats, but Loretta found a way to make her feel comfortable and reassure her - by the end of her first day she enjoyed being around her fluffy cats and looked forward to going back.
My daughter always talks about Loretta and the various activities she enjoys with her such as Lego Club and going to local parks. She also likes playing in her garden, playing with the other children that Loretta cares for and looking after the cats. Loretta is chatty and always thinking about activities to do with the children and always suggests activities that I can do with my daughter on the weekends.

Perfect after school care for our son
Our 5-year old son has been staying with Loretta for over a year now after school and during school holidays and absolutely loves it. Loretta always tries to find new activities (seasonal) to entertain the children and our son never gets bored. He has also met lots of new friends as Loretta cares for several other children and they all get on very well. I highly recommend Loretta's services if you are looking for a "feel at home" place for you child in the Kempston area.

Very lovely lady with lots of experience
My year old daughter had an overnight stay with Loretta. She made me feel at ease by sending her qualifications, sending videos of where my daughter would be staying etc and kept me updated while she had my daughter. She was able to pick up and drop off (as I do not drive) and my daughter came back very smiley.

My son is at Loretta for only one week and I can say that now I know how a Childminder should behave with little ones because I had a very bad experience before with another Childminder.
Loretta is lovely, the kids loves her, she's tacking them each day to a different place, and they do lots of activities, go and feed the duck or go to soft play with no extra cost. I can tell that she is very passionate in what's she's doing, she's not doing just for the money like others Childminder I had before.
Every day I received a picture or Christmas ornaments and lots of pictures and videos.
My little one was crying in the first days but she always was sending me photos reassuring me that after a few minutes he was fine, and it was really good for me, I could do my job that day without thinking if his still crying or not.

Loving and caring childminder
Loving and caring childminder
My son went to Loretta for 3 days a week, and every day he was with her he came home a very happy little boy, and he couldn't wait to tell me what they done that day. Loretta has taken him out every day he was with her, from going to feed the ducks, to train spotting, he loved going to her. On the days he was not going to Loretta he would ask me in the morning when i get him dressed:"mommy am i going to Loretta today?", and i say no, he would cry and say, but i love Loretta.
Thank you Loretta for being so loving and caring person. This little monster is missing you every day.

Great childminder
Great childminder
Loretta, is a lovely child-minder, she looked after our little girl two days a week when I returned to work. The level of communication we received made the whole process so much easier, every day we got a full diary of everything she had done that day. This included lots of photos of her and her friends happily playing which is lovely and reassuring to see when you are apart from your child, especially in the early days. They are always out and about, socialising with other children and days full of varied activities. I would highly recommend Loretta to anyone looking for child care.
